SPEED REQUIRES PATIENCE!!!

I was at a General Hospital some years back to see a family member who was ailing and was on admission at the hospital. After sometime, I went out of the hospital premises to stay and wait for my family under a mango tree because I wasn’t comfortable with the sights and sounds within the premises.

I walked briskly towards the mango tree and I found a comfortable space where I sat down.

Some Fifteen minutes to the time

I saw a MOTHER HEN with two chicks, I was bored so I stared at the Hen and I was awed by the way it took care of it’s chicks.

As I looked on, something struck my mind :

* One chick was relatively smaller while the other one was bigger

*These chicks were hatched on the same day but they differ in their growth and appearance

* The smaller one was fatter while the taller one was slimmer

I learnt a lesson that has stayed with me since that day

The chicks were hatched on the same day but they didn’t GROW the same way.

That means because we are age mates does not imply that we are journey and destiny mates and also, because we are age mates does not mean that we have the same growth process.

The female chick which had more prospects and has the capacity to reproduce more chicks looked very insignificant and unattractive.

The male one which had no prospect like the female Chick was taller and more attractive.

This means that, you gather momentum while you patiently WAIT…

There’s virtue in waiting

And The next phase of your life will require a lot patience from you.

Because you don’t look attractive today doesn’t mean you won’t become what you have been destined to be.

Because your age mates, colleagues and friends have gone ahead of you doesn’t mean you’re not not gathering momentum to fly once it’s your time.

There is patience in waiting

Also remember always that SPEED requires PATIENCE.
